Different types of Canada Immigration Program

Express Entry:


Express Entry is the fastest and one of the most popular streams of immigration for a newcomer seeking Canadian immigration. It is used to manage PR in three different classes such as

  • Federal skilled worker program
  • Federal skilled Trader program

Applicants who score the equivalent or above cutoff points sent an ITA (Invitation To Apply). Although the job offer is not necessary for the applicants, it will increase points. Provincial Government also pickup a profile from the express entry it will increase your points

Based on the equivalent or high scoring CRS points in the Canada Express Entry ITA is been sent through the respective candidate. On receiving your ITA you will have 90 days to submit the PR Applications.

 Provincial Nominee Program:

 The Provincial Nominee program grants individual territories or provinces to choose a particular candidate who wishes to settle in Canada. Each province has its own set of Provincial rules and has made an agreement with Regulated Canada Immigration Council (IRCC) to prefer the own immigrants for the development of their province.

Province has there own immigration program to target certain people, For example, a particular province may target students, business people, or skilled workers. Through the paper-based process, you need to apply for the program. If you are nominated you can apply for the express entry or you can apply for the same province. If invited you should submit your application for IRCC.

***Quebec does not have a provincial nominee program, It has its own set of rules, If you are applying for Quebec  province you need to get Quebec Selection Certificate from the Government of Quebec, If you get the Certificate you can apply to IRCC.

If you are a Canadian Citizen or permanent resident of Canada you can sponsor certain family members. For the family sponsorship visa, the following members are eligible

  • Spouse, partner or dependent children, adopted child
  •  Parents and grandparents
  • Relatives (** with Certain Rules**)

 Start-up Visa program:

If you are an immigrating aspirant willing to start a business in Canada then this program is for you, this program targets entrepreneurs ink them with private sector investors in Canada. Who is willing to establish a startup business. Candidates can come under the work permit visa and apply for the permanent resident visa but the work permit must be supported by Canadian based investors initially.

Study Visa:

If you are a student who wishes to study in Canada, they provide study permit to its aspirants, a document that allows foreign nationals to study.

Eligibility requirements

  •   An acceptance letter from the institution
  •  A valid passport
  •  A proof that you can support and your family members(incase anyone come with you)
