Nova Scotia is one of the Canadian Provinces and one of the four Atlantic provinces of Canada. The capital of Nova Scotia is Halifax. Nova Scotia has its own streams for Immigration.

NSNP has 9 streams:

Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities:

It selects the Applicants from the Federal Express Entry System who have experience in high demand positions in the province.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Valid Express Entry Profile Number
  2. Must have stated in Express Entry that the applicant is interested to live in Nova Scotia
  3. Must have received Letter of Interest from Nova Scotia
  4. Must meet the Work Experience
  5. To show Sufficient proof of funds to accommodate his family
  6. Must meet the criteria of Express Entry
  7. After receiving the letter of interest the applicant should submit his application within 30 calendar days

Document Checklist:

  • Copy of Valid Letter of Interest
  • Work Experience Documents like Reference letter, Offer letter and Relieving letter, Payslips
  • Bank statements showing proof of funds or details of investment of Fixed Deposit details
  • Identity documents and Proof of Education of the Applicant and his dependant family members
  • Document showing that the applicant meets the IRCC criteria

Labour Market Priorities for Physicians

This stream selects the Physicians to apply for the nomination through the Federal Express Entry Stream. After receiving the letter of interest from NSOI he should arrange his documents and submit the application to NSOI. Then he will receive a nomination from NSOI. After that he canada apply for Permanent Residence Visa through IRCC.

This stream is introduced to meet the critical labour needs in the province

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Receive a job offer from Applicants from Nova Scotia Health Authority or IWK Health care
  • Receive Letter of Interest from NSOI
  • Must indicate his eligibility for licensure with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
  • Must meet the Work Experience
  • Must meet the Criterias of Express Entry
  • To show Sufficient proof of funds to accommodate his family After receiving the letter of interest the applicant should submit his application within 30 calendar days

Requirements/ Eligibility:

  • Should have completed a Master’s or Doctoral degree from Manitoba.
  • Language test CLB should be 7
  • Should be a full time employed person in Manitoba.
  • Must be in Manitoba while applying.Must show the need to continue to be in Manitoba

Document Checklist :

  1. Passport and Identity documents, Birth Certificate of Applicant and dependant members
  2. Education Credential Assessment
  3. Proof of eligibility of license with CPSNS.
  4. Educational Documents and Other Work Experience documents.
  5. Proof of Medical training.

Physicians Stream

This stream helps the Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA) and the Izaak Walton Killam Health Centre (IWK) to hire physicians to work in Nova Scotia.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants should receive a Job offer letter from NSHA and IWK
  • Job offer should be in an Official letter head of NSHA and IWK, signed by authorised person and the applicant who is accepting the Job offer..
  • He should indicate his eligibility for licensure with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
  • He should gather all the documents required and apply to NSOI.
  • The applicant will receive a nomination from NSOI. The next step will be application for IRCC for the temporary work permit and in last he can apply for PR

  • Proof of eligibility of license in NS
  • Other Visa documents like passport, Identity documents, Proof of education, Documents of dependant members, Marriage certificate etc.,

Entrepreneur Stream

This stream is for experienced business owners who want to live in Nova Scotia.

Eligibility Criteria

  • 21 years or above in Age
  • He should have the interest to live in Nova Scotia permanently and should run his business actively
  • His net worth - $600000 and he should be able to invest $150000 for his business establishment
  • Applicant should have minimum 3 years of experience in his business or 5 years of experience in a senior business management role
  • Ielts is also mandatory with minimum 5 in all bands
  • He should show his interest by completing the Expression of Interest application.

After completing his EOI application he may receive a nomination letter. After doing his business successfully for one year he may apply for PR.

International Graduate Entrepreneur

This stream is for recent graduates of a Nova Scotia University or Nova Scotia Community college.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Has to live permanently in Nova Scotia
  • one year experience of business in Nova Scotia
  • Should have completed a 2 years diploma or degree in Nova Scotia University or Nova Scotia Community college.
  • Should have a valid post graduate work permit
  • Ielts score minimum 7 in all bands
  • Online EOI should be completed

International Graduates in Demand

This stream is for recent International graduates. It is open for 2 NOCs

NOC 3413:nurse aides, orderlies, and patient service associates

NOC 4214:early childhood educators and assistants

Eligibility Criteria

  • Full time job offer in Nova Scotia
  • Age – 21 to 55 years old
  • Studies must have completed within the last 3 years before the date of application
  • Letter from DLI institution from Nova Scotia that the applicant has met the requirements for the program
  • Language abilities is also mandatory
  • Proof of funds to live in Nova Scotia

Skilled Worker Stream

This stream is for recently graduated International students and Foriegn Workers

Eligibility Criteria

  • Should have a full time Permanent job offer from Nova Scotia Employer
  • Age – 21 to 55
  • Should have 1 year of Work experience in that skilled work
  • Should have minimum CLB level 5 of English level
  • Should apply for NSNP under Skilled Worker Stream. After verification will receive a nomination from Nova Scotia. Then the applicant can apply for PR within the six months of nomination.

Occupation In demand Stream

This stream focuses on NOC C and D level.

This stream is currently open to workers in 4 NOC job categories :

  1. This stream focuses on NOC C and D level.
  2. This stream focuses on NOC C and D level.
  3. This stream focuses on NOC C and D level.
  4. This stream focuses on NOC C and D level.
  5. Eligibility Criteria

    • Have a full time job offer for the above NOCs
    • Age should be between 21-55
    • Offered job’s location should be in Nova Scotia
    • Should have one year of experience related to the selected Noc
    • Language ability should be minimum CLB 4

Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry

Applicants should have minimum one year of experience working in Nova Scotia in a high skilled occupation

There are two ways to enter the Nova Scotia Experience : Express Entry Stream:

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applying directly to the NSOI (or)
  • Applicant can be chosen directly from Express Entry Pool
  • Applicants experience should meet NOC levels O, A or B
  • Applicant should create his profile in Express Entry Stream
  • English level should be above CLB 7 for skill level O and A and CLB level 5 for Skill level B occupations
  • Applicant should live in Nova scotia permanently
